The vision of Rojo’s was a dream that only a red headed man could have dreamt. With so many pizza and sub shops in the area, Ocean City New Jersey local, David “Reds” Bridgens decided it was time for something new. After years in and out of the restaurant business, he decided it was time to branch out on his own, and give the people an alternative.

In the spring of 2004 Rojo’s came to life. Named “Rojo’s Tacos,” Reds, with a (former) business partner opened a small store on the Ocean City New Jersey boardwalk. The store was an immediate success; however, as the business flourished the partnership did not. After only a few months of operation, Reds recognized that he needed room to grow and opted out of the partnership.

In the Spring of 2005 Reds developed the next evolution of the Rojo’s phenomenon and on June 4th 2005 Rojo’s Jersey Mex Café opened its doors for business.

In the summer of 2005 Reds took on business partner, (and long-time friend) Janel Dreibelbis. The two of them would like to thank all of their customers for their great third season!  Stay tuned for the grand opening of their second location for the next, Rojo’s Jersey Mex Cafe!
